FORT LEE, N.J. — Fort Lee voters handed Democrats another decisive victory Tuesday, electing Paul Yoon and Bryan Drumgoole to the Borough Council by wide margins over their Republican challengers.

Yoon topped the four-candidate field with 7,132 votes, followed by Drumgoole with 6,864, according to unofficial Bergen County election results.

Republicans Giovanna Surace and Rosana Condina finished well behind, receiving 3,083 and 3,054 votes, respectively.

The Democrats each received more than twice the votes of either Republican candidate, leaving little doubt about the outcome of the two-seat contest.

Despite Fort Lee's Jewish community, the council contest did not attract any endorsements from the Bergen County Jewish Action Committee (BCJAC).

The victory keeps both available council seats in Democratic hands and underscores the party's continued strength in Fort Lee.

The results are based on Bergen County's unofficial November 3, 2026 election report, refreshed at 10:21 p.m., and include early voting, Election Day ballots and partial mail-in results.
