PARAMUS, N.J. — U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer visited Campmor in Paramus to meet with the family behind the longtime outdoor retailer, speak with employees and hear from customers as part of his “Josh on the Job” series highlighting locally owned businesses across North Jersey.
Campmor is a Jewish-owned business operated by an Orthodox family from Fair Lawn whose members have long been involved in the local community.
“Campmor is a local success story, living proof of how a small business can grow into a North Jersey institution. Working alongside their team, you can feel the pride and hard work behind everything they do,” Gottheimer said. “Small businesses like Campmor are the heart of our community, and I’ll always have their backs by cutting their costs and clearing the way for them to grow.”
During the visit, Gottheimer joined employees in the shop and spoke with workers and customers about the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses.
The congressman regularly visits businesses and franchises across New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District through the series, which is intended to give him a firsthand look at the issues affecting local employers, workers and customers.
