PARAMUS, NJ — The man accused of running over a woman and fleeing the scene of a fatal hit-and-run near Garden State Plaza is expected to appear in court Thursday.
Estuardo Rodriguez is charged in the death of Krisiann Reyes Rivera, who was killed last week on Route 17, authorities said.
According to prosecutors, Reyes Rivera got out of her vehicle following a collision on the highway and walked over to Rodriguez’s car, where she struck its windows.
Rodriguez then allegedly ran her over and drove away, prosecutors said.
Rodriguez also faces charges related to allegedly possessing ecstasy, Percocet and THC cartridges in his vehicle.
A second person has also been arrested in connection with the deadly hit-and-run, according to authorities.
