BOGOTA, N.J. — The Walgreens pharmacy at 33 River Road will permanently close on Aug. 6, the company announced in a notice posted at the store.
Customers with prescriptions at the Bogota location will be able to transfer them to another Walgreens pharmacy. Nearby locations include Teaneck, Bergenfield, Fort Lee, Englewood, Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi and Cliffside Park.
The closure comes as Walgreens continues a nationwide effort to shutter hundreds of underperforming stores as the company looks to offset declining profits tied to lower drug reimbursement rates and sluggish retail sales.
