TEANECK, N.J. — Holy Name Medical Center will host its second annual Women’s Health Symposium on Oct. 18, bringing doctors and other health experts together for a day focused on women’s health.

The free event will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe. This year’s theme is “Navigating Women’s Health Through Every Stage of Life.”

The symposium will be chaired by Dr. Sharyn Lewin, Holy Name’s director of gynecology.

Dr. Eleonora Spinazzi, a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon at Holy Name, will give the keynote address on protecting brain health throughout life.

The event will also feature a panel on women’s health issues in 2026, including heart health, mental health, weight management and perimenopause and menopause.

Other sessions will cover exercise, nutrition, brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer prevention, pelvic health and how parents can get the most from pediatric visits.

The day will also include yoga, meditation, a nature walk and an area where attendees can speak with health care providers.

Holy Name said heart disease remains the leading cause of death among women in the United States and that many women may not know their own risk.

The event is free, but registration is required.
