ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Power was restored at Englewood Hospital late Monday afternoon after portions of the campus experienced power interruptions earlier in the day.

The hospital announced the restoration Monday evening, saying that all services are now operating at peak.

The outage was first announced shortly after noon, with the hospital saying it remained operational and continued providing patient care throughout the interruption.

“The hospital remains operational, and we continue to provide safe patient care,” the hospital said.

Some elective procedures may have been rescheduled as a result of the power interruptions. Patients whose appointments were affected were to be contacted directly by the hospital with any changes.

The hospital’s emergency department remained open for walk-in patients throughout the interruption.

The hospital had also been placed on a facility divert for EMS teams transporting non-critical patients, meaning those patients were being directed to other facilities while the power issue was being addressed.

The hospital did not initially provide a cause for the power interruption or specify how many areas of the campus were affected.

With power restored, the hospital said its services are operating at peak.

Englewood Hospital serves patients throughout Bergen County and the surrounding communities. The hospital's emergency department is operating normally following the restoration of power.

The hospital had not indicated that emergency services were suspended during the outage, and the emergency department remained available to patients arriving on their own.

The power interruption lasted through part of Monday afternoon before being restored late that afternoon.

The hospital has not provided additional details about the cause of the outage.
