ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Portions of the Englewood Hospital campus experienced power interruptions Monday afternoon, with the hospital saying it remains operational and continues to provide patient care.

The hospital announced the outage on Instagram shortly after noon, saying it was working through the interruption while maintaining normal operations where possible.

“The hospital remains operational, and we continue to provide safe patient care,” the hospital said.

Some elective procedures may be rescheduled as a result of the power interruptions. Patients whose appointments are affected will be contacted directly by the hospital with any changes.

The hospital’s emergency department remains open for walk-in patients.

However, the hospital is currently on a facility divert for EMS teams transporting non-critical patients. That means EMS crews with non-critical patients are being directed to other facilities while the situation is addressed.

The announcement did not provide a cause for the power interruption or specify how many areas of the hospital campus were affected.

Patients with scheduled appointments are being advised to wait for direct communication from the hospital regarding any changes.

The hospital has not indicated that emergency services have been suspended, and the emergency department remains open to patients arriving on their own.

The interruption comes as Englewood Hospital continues to serve as a major medical center for Bergen County and the surrounding communities.

The hospital said it will continue providing updates as needed.
