EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — American Dream has added two new venues to its growing entertainment lineup, bringing a 60,000-square-foot event center and a new performing arts venue to the Bergen County mega-mall.
The two spaces opened in July and are designed to host everything from concerts and comedy shows to trade shows, conventions, private parties and community events.
The Event Center, which opened July 19, can accommodate up to 3,500 guests and is located inside The Avenue. It debuted with a private gathering for several thousand ticket holders ahead of the World Cup final at nearby MetLife Stadium.
The space includes room for hundreds of vendor booths or about 190 banquet tables, four smaller rooms and dedicated registration areas. Large windows also offer views of the Manhattan skyline.
American Dream says catering is available through its more than 100 restaurants and food venues.
The second addition, The Dream Live Performing Arts Center, opened July 25 and is geared toward live entertainment. The venue will host concerts, comedy, theater, sporting events and community and cultural programs.
The venue features VIP seating, luxury suites and upgraded lighting, sound and video systems. Ticket sales are being handled through Ticketmaster.
The upcoming schedule includes “Dog Man: The Musical” from Aug. 9 through Aug. 14, followed by French Montana on Aug. 15. The Good Guys Podcast will bring its live show to the venue Aug. 16, with Arrival From Sweden scheduled for Aug. 20 and a “High School Musical” singalong set for Aug. 23.
“These two state-of-the-art venues further enhance our property, allowing us to host even more world-class performances, live events, hospitality experiences, conventions and trade shows,” Roy Ghermezian of American Dream parent company Triple Five Group told The Record/NorthJersey.com.
The additions further expand American Dream's role as more than a traditional shopping destination, with the East Rutherford complex continuing to build out its mix of entertainment, dining and event offerings.
