ALPINE, N.J. — Federal, state and local law enforcement leaders joined Jewish community members in Alpine for a special ceremony honoring officers and agencies for their courage, dedication and commitment to public safety.

The annual event, hosted yesterday by longtime community leader and law enforcement chaplain Rabbi Abe Friedman, brought together officials from across the law enforcement community for an annual gathering recognizing those who serve on the front lines.

Among those honored were members of the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, IRS Criminal Investigation, New York and New Jersey State Police, prosecutors’ offices and district attorneys’ offices, along with representatives from numerous other law enforcement agencies.

The ceremony highlighted the partnership between law enforcement and the Jewish community, recognizing officers for their efforts to protect communities and maintain public safety.

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s New York office thanked Rabbi Friedman for recognizing members of its team during the event.

The annual gathering has become an opportunity for community members and law enforcement officials to come together, build relationships and acknowledge the work of officers and agents serving the region.

Rabbi Friedman, who has long worked to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the Jewish community, hosted the event as a tribute to those who dedicate their careers to protecting others.
