FORT LEE, N.J. — Cross River welcomed members of the Fort Lee Police Department, Fort Lee Fire Department and Bergen Hatzalah in recognition of National First Responders Day, honoring the emergency personnel who serve and protect the local community.
Representatives from all three organizations joined Cross River for a gathering recognizing the work of police officers, firefighters and volunteer emergency medical responders.
“We had the honor of welcoming local first responders to join us in recognition of National First Responder’s Day. It was a fun and meaningful way of saying thank you to the local heroes who keep our community safe every single day,” Cross River wrote on social media.
National First Responders Day, observed annually on Oct. 28, recognizes the contributions of police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and other emergency personnel who respond to emergencies and assist residents in times of need.
The gathering brought together representatives of three agencies serving Fort Lee and the surrounding Bergen County community, highlighting the role of both municipal emergency services and volunteer responders in local public safety.
