HACKENSACK, NJ — Bergen County election officials will take residents’ questions about voting, ballot security and voter rights Tuesday night ahead of the 2026 general election.

The virtual event, titled “Voting and Security: Bergen County Election Officials Answer Your Questions,” is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 22 on Zoom.

Sabrina H. Taranto, supervisor of the Bergen County Clerk’s Elections Division, and Steve Chong, deputy county clerk, will discuss the new vote-by-mail ballot design, ballot drop boxes, U.S. Postal Service postmark rules and ballot tracking.

The officials will also take questions from residents during the session, including on voter protections under New Jersey’s John R. Lewis Voter Empowerment Act.

The event is being hosted by League of Women Voters chapters in Fair Lawn, Glen Rock, Northern Valley, Ridgewood and Teaneck.
